"R" Panel
“R” Panel is a generic thru-fastened ribbed panel used by many metal building manufacturers. Newer metal buildings may have the “PBR” (Purlin Bearing Rib) version of this panel, which is dimensionally the same as the “R” version. Typically, the panel has 36” coverage with major rib centers (A) spaced at 12” and rib heights (B) of 1-3/8”, 1-1/4” or 1-1/2”. One variation of this panel may include an additional minor rib located on top of the major rib (D), which is common to A&S, Ceco, Star and other pre-engineered metal buildings.
